Carve. Ink. Print. with Jyotsna

Makerspace Skills session with Jyotsna. Turn a simple design into a print of your own! Join us for a hands-on introduction to lino-block printing with Jyotsna Udas, a visual artist and art facilitator from Pokhara whose practice explores printmaking, embroidery, collage, photography, and painting. With a love for experimenting with different materials, Jyotsna brings her experience in arts education and a belief in creativity as a way to connect people. In this session, Jyotsna will guide you through the process of designing, carving, and inking your own lino block. You'll start by creating a simple design, learn how to use carving tools, and experiment with transferring your prints onto paper and fabric. No previous experience is needed. You'll be learning by doing, exploring different printing techniques, and leaving with your own hand-carved block and prints made by you. All tools and materials will be provided.
