About the Opportunity

Sattya is seeking a highly motivated and independent Manager to take full ownership of its operations, programs, and long-term sustainability. This is not a passive role—you will be leading the organization, making key decisions, and driving all aspects of Sattya’s growth. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong initiative, capable of balancing creative vision with operational efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring that Sattya thrives as a hub for Kathmandu’s creative community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and Oversee All Operations & Programs

  • Fully manage Sattya’s day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth execution of all initiatives.
  • Take full responsibility for the development, execution, and success of workshops, events, and creative programs.
  • Maintain and oversee financial planning, budgets, and logistical workflows, making strategic decisions for sustainability.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities, proactively shaping the direction of Sattya’s programming and impact.

Drive Community & Partnership Development

  • Be the face of Sattya, actively expanding its network through partnerships with artists, businesses, and cultural organizations.
  • Take the lead in securing collaborations, sponsorships, and community partnerships that strengthen Sattya’s presence.
  • Foster a culture of skill-sharing, innovation, and artistic collaboration within the community.

Own Marketing & Outreach Efforts

  • Spearhead all marketing and outreach efforts, ensuring Sattya’s initiatives reach a wide audience.
  • Oversee and expand the Spotted newsletter, maximizing its visibility and impact.
  • Develop and implement creative promotional campaigns to increase participation in Sattya’s events and programs.

Recruit, Manage, and Mentor a Strong Team

  • Take initiative in hiring, training, and leading a team of interns, freelancers, and volunteers.
  • Provide hands-on mentorship and leadership, ensuring a productive and motivated team.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-energy work environment that supports innovation.

Ensure Financial Sustainability & Growth

  • Lead fundraising efforts, sponsorship outreach, and grant applications to secure financial sustainability.
  • Develop and oversee membership programs, revenue-generating events, and creative service offerings.
  • Take full ownership of financial planning and budgeting, ensuring Sattya remains financially viable and grows over time.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A self-starter who takes full ownership of their work—this role requires someone who makes things happen.
  • Proven leadership and management experience in arts, culture, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance big-picture vision with practical execution.
  • Experience in event planning, program development, and partnership building.
  • Ability to fundraise, write grants, and develop sponsorships is highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in marketing, community outreach, and audience growth strategies.
  • Passion for arts, culture, and creative community-building in Kathmandu.
