GENERAL INTERNSHIPS (for Nepali nationals only)
Sattya has general internship openings for Nepali nationals who would like experience working for a media arts organization. We are seeking highly motivated, independent, efficient, creative and reliable individuals. Internships require a 20 hour weekly commitment as well as attendance at events. College credit is available if required.
Tasks may include:
- Outreach- managing social media channels, helping spread the word about Sattya programs and events, and reaching out to emerging media artists/journalists. It also can involve making connections with local organizations, volunteers, potential teachers, students, artists and so on. Can involve a lot of time out and about the city, as well as time at the computer answering emails and doing research.
- Technical- designing flyers, taking photos at events, making videos, setting up the projector, putting together slideshows, adding subtitles to films, fixing computer issues, and more.
- Event Assistance- planning and organizing events, ranging from film screenings to workshops. It involves helping with planning, logistics, getting the word out, and helping out at the actual event.
Not every task of an intern is fun. But we never, ever ask interns or volunteers to do any tasks that we wouldn’t do ourselves — some things might be boring, but they have to get done!
Internships are available year round. To get started, fill out our application and send your resume to collective[at]sattya.org. If you are having trouble with the application, feel free to email us and we’ll figure out an alternative method of sending in your application (collective[at]sattya.org).
