The photographers will then receive 3 days’ window to deposit Rs. 400 at Sattya office if they accept to have their photos exhibited. In case we don’t hear back from any one of the 25 winning photos, we’ll call on to the ones in our waiting list.
Printing and framing: The selected photos will be printed by 29 th August. The fees that photographers submitted will cover most expenses. However, for all the additional cost Cuppas is willing to pitch in. By 30th, all the photos will be framed and ready to be set up.
Exhibition: The photos will be exhibited in Cuppas on the 31st. On the day of the exhibition, the photos will be auctioned, starting from 600 a piece. All the remaining photographs will then be displayed in Cuppas for at least 6 months and will be in sale for a fixed price. After cutting off the cost price, the remaining amount collected will be divided among the photographer, Cuppas and Sattya on a 70-15-15 per cent basis. That means the photographer will make 70% of the sale!
Theme: The purpose of this exhibition is to promote and encourage new and old photographers. We want the theme to be open to any sort of interpretation. We encourage people to submit photos that are interesting to them; things that are close to them or out of their understanding. Anything that puts forth a different perspective, story, and inspires people to stop and revisit them! Lets put it this way, we’re giving you photographers a blank canvas, and are asking you to paint it and make the magic happen.
We will be judging the photographs according to the subject, the application of techniques, and perspective. We want the photographers to submit a 100-word description along to unravel the story behind its click. Each photographer is allowed to submit max. 3 photos. People are welcome to submit a series of photos that tells a story but within the three photo limit.
